Seeing you're already lost about the former, please explain the latter.

You say in several of your posts that you like hunting deer, and that you hope there are many living in your house in YOUR heaven.

I think people moaning about the emojis is hilarious. I say we keep the emojis, but we should see which leftists who posts all the thumbs-down emojis.

I think many of us are learning how to communicate better in this online environment. There are always going to be nasty individuals and it is fine to call them out. When I do this it usually goes nowhere and I hate realizing 5 posts into the confrontation that I now look just as idiotic. There should be a barf emoji that people could add to my posts so I might get what I'm doing :)

It starts out fine, then quickly rears it's head and takes over. I listened to advice from members and mods and don't let the nonsense go further, ignoring instead of letting things go sideways, which I'm sure they appreciate. There are quite a few decent people here, who are just here for advice or to give some, and talk about how the world's going crazy.

Instead of having those types, enlisting others who haven't yet figured them out, trying to put their brand of insanity on you. They actually think people here are stupid, showing this when he dismisses others as not worth his time when they disagree with his kind of drivel. A very weak, petulant little man-boy, who actually thinks his words mean anything besides the annoyance of a gnat.

Remember that you started abusing @FolkGuitar before I even joined the thread. You looked idiotic then and you continued in that vein. It's so cute to see you and @fredwiggy together. Who would have thought that you would be in the same group?

What you do instead is to write the same things, but to someone you perceive to be a listening ear. SYou are doing exactly the same things, but indirectly. Dragging others into your personal issues. Usually people who share similar weaknesses.

How about a person who signed up on the forum eight years ago with only one post and tills through threads dropping mostly negative emojis?

That's usually a sign of multiple handles. Often it's a second handle of a prominent poster who wants to dole out thumbs down emojis, but doesn't want to get them because of tit-for-tat responses.

This was a common tactic on boards where the reputation was the sum of positive and negative emojis a member received. Some posters used extra handles to give themselves positive votes as well.

I ran my own businesses and really didn't work that hard at all.

I don't need to accept your way of life. I find your behaviour quite unpalatable on almost every level. The way that you criticise other foreigners, but give yourself a free pass being just one glaring example.

There are many others, but I don't want to make this thread about you.

This is just the way it is.

I am not compelled to like nor hold you in high regard. In general I am happy to just ignore you. Though every now and again, one of your more repellent comments may appear in my view. You can console yourself by telling yourself that only weak people feel so utterly repelled by your behaviour, that they applied more than 50 negative emoticons to a single post of yours.

Notwithstanding, if you post normally or post anything of which I am in agreement, I will say so or at least apply a positive emoji. I don't carry negative emotions around with me. Everyone gets a second chance.

Crikey, you can waffle on mate.

Have you thought about getting into politics?

I with you, but I can go along with anything! problem with them they re-enforce the " keyboard "

cowards, who bravely say what they want but if they don't get their way get nasty!

In the beginning, they printed the names then some who can't take it, complain to moderator, and they do have a tough job, but those who do complain are the worse of the worse, they go after poster then pretend they aren't the problem. Then no matter what you say they play their games and give you a thumbs down because they take it personal!

All one has to do is take a look at the discussion and look who is posting in which one might had issue with line it up with the time posted and know pretty close who gave a thumbs down although nothing wrote was offensive but nevertheless gave you a thumb down. But when one plays their game do same thing they whine like a B-t-h then the ignore which are all there for the cowards of this world and being on this site there are lots of them.

Whatever, is decided by the moderator is find by me, I go with the flow LOL!

Here it comes my point will be made!

I didn't know that was the case (leftists). I thought it was people trying to be funny.... that puts comments on my post into a whole other category.🙃

I love that the names of who clicked which emoji are back! Makes it much more entertaining.

Here's your chance to have the emojis removed.

Don't ask about seeing who posts them; we know that causes too much trouble.

If there is something you would like added or removed from the emoji list, comment on what and why.

Looks like we can see who posted them. However, nothing wrong with that. People who can´t take an anonymous reaction online, should probably not be as such dangerous places as online forums. 😂

Yes, it helps when you READ the posts made, then you dont need to post the obvious.

Emojis are perfectly acceptable. The fact that they choose to remain anonymous is not.

@marin Until recently, emojis did not display the name of the person who made it. Now it is fine.

@ravip I was aware of that hence the question mark. It has been a few days. Have a good one!

There is a guy on this forum that is usually at the top of the popular posters list. Name starts with a C. Anyhow he posts the most asinine things and within 3 minutes thumbs up and laughing emojis start appearing. No doubt he has multiple accounts or maybe just a flock of them on the forum patting each others backs..

Funny, after names appeared, he is no longer on the pop board. Hmmmm

Not sure why you quoted me in your post. Perhaps a mistake.

There are a few people here that hold grudges for whatever reason or just have hate in their hearts and want to cause as much mischief as possible.

Personally I can have a strong disagreement with someone on one thread and be in complete agreement on another. It's not personal for me.

Your perception that I target certain posters is incorrect. You only notice it because of the way that they react when any discussion opens.

They take a prejudicial stance, every time. They cannot get over it. Which of course isn't going to bring agreement.

For me, I start anew each time. Hence, my conversation with you now.

Cool, I don't want to go at it and I can move past our disagreement. We might have other in the future but we can deal with them then. As for quoting you in the post, not sure what you are referring to. I wasn't quoting you or at least not intentionally :)

One of my posts was included in your quote. Strangely, it seems to have disappeared.

For me, there was no disagreement. It was nothing. Sometimes one can be a little stressed or in a bad mood. It passes. No need to hang on to it. Some people aren't capable of that. They need to hang on to their hatred and bad feelings.

Why not Just offer the full range you get with your phone. Why limit them?

Get rid of the question mark, thumbs up, thumbs down, and broken heart emojis.

Question mark emoji: if someone's confused, post and say why. Also, question mark emoji is larger than other emojis.

Thumbs up emoji : redundant with +1 emoji

Thumbs down emoji : being used largely vindictively, and undermines sense of forum community; only breeds resentment and grudges. If the thumbs down emoji is continued, I would especially like to see it changed so that it doesn't detract from one's community reputation. It appears people are using the thumbs down emoji for the sole purpose of hurting a poster's community reputation, sometimes out of jealousy.

Broken heart emoji: If someone is truly moved by the sadness of a story, let them post about it - much more meaningful than an emoji. Aseannow is an almost all male community, not particularly prone to sentimentality. This emoji is unnecessary.

Emoji options should build forum engagement and sense of community.

This is a comment full of intelligence and accurate analysis.

I, like most here, fully concur with your analysis.

Why can't others here see with your impeccable clarity?

I especially agree with your thoughts about the Thumbs Down emoji, which is used for mostly vindictive purposes, something which should be obvious to all.

As I said previously, this is damaging to the forum, and there is really ZERO upside to the ThumbsDown notification.

Yes....

And, the ThumbsDown has been placed on the forum for their use, the people who are bent upon hanging onto hatred and bad feelings.

Every time you see a ThumbsDown Emoji, just say to yourselves: There goes another hater, sounding off.

The ThumbsDown Emoji needs to be removed.

It is the intent that matters but hard to speculate what the intent is online. I make some stupid posts at times and others feel the need to let me know. Up to them and who am I to judge. I thought removing the thumbs down was a good idea but so far it seems to not be causing any real problems and it is interesting. Fast forward 6 months...???
