Converting An Existing Swimming Pool Into A Resort-type Overflow Pool

Featured Replies

May be somebody can give me some guideline on the following:

I was advised by one of the local construction contractors to convert my existing swimming pool into a resort-type where the overflow water is captured into a half PVC pipe instead of letting the water naturally flow. The pipe is covered with stones up to the edge of the floor.

Since I have no experience whatsoever but like the look of it, I was wondering if anybody among the members has done this before and what to watch out for? Does anybody know of any trustworthy person who could guide me through the technical process?

The site is in Thonburi, near to Taling Chang, Bangkok. Thanks in advance.

Yours

Mike

I know this is an old topic, but did you ever do this? I am considering this myself.

More trouble than it's worth in my opinion. Just adds additional cleaning difficulties.

Well, after the price quote to do the conversion, NO WAY! Wow....

if you want to pm some details I may be able to design & detail it so it won't cost an arm and a leg. will need photos and dimensions of existing pool, pump & filter specs and any other information you can muster.

how much? can't be THAT expensive. in all these years i haven't seen any "archaic" pool with an inefficient skimmer.
