Of course. Being utterly oppressed since 1948 is going to cause some blowback, some people just don't understand that concept.

The reason for all the hostilities because Palestine refuses to accept Israelis right to exist .

If Palestine wanted a harmonious peaceful existence with Israel if could have had one .

Palestine chose war and the oppression is the result of that choice

Could only find 7 Countries/Territories since 7th Oct 2023, Israel winning friends in the Middle East.

I suppose you could also include the couple of International Peace supply convoys they attacked in the Mediterranean.

Which countries has Israel attacked since 7 October 2023?

Israel has launched a number of attacks since the Hamas attacks of October 2023, targeting several countries and territories across the Middle East. The latest of these was Qatar, after Israel launched an attack on Doha which it said targeted Hamas leadership. Others include the occupied Palestinian territories, Iran, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.

What a stunning coincidence that is .

Israel attacked exactly the same mount of countries who attacked Israel just before Israel attcked them

Yes. Israel has become a warring nation, and they have become the new Middle Eastern terrorist group.

You can argue to the contrary but I literally think Israelis would not know what to do with themselves if they actually found peace.

I presume, of course, that the query just advanced was purely rhetorical in nature. Shall I undertake the tedious office of elucidating that rather ponderous term for the benefit of your comprehension?

Thanks for the projection.

@ezzra

Let us return, then, to the matter with which we began.

It cannot reasonably be denied that Jewish Law, as embodied in the classical Halakhah, affords a legal framework under which the Gentile may be held in bondage.

That the Torah should sanction, and that God Himself should thereby be represented as sanctioning, the ownership of human beings as slaves, would seem to furnish us with a rather grave dilemma: either the Deity is a capricious and morally reprehensible being, or else the Deity is but a fiction, devised by the imagination of man.

I opine to the latter.

This could well be the last war .

If the Iranian regime is successfully removed and peacemakers replace them, that would mean Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthis going as well , then peace can prevail in the region .

And do you think that be extremist and genocidal regime in Iran is going to be removed by the wonderful men of God within Trump's minions? Will they bring such inspiration to the people of Iran that they will rise up against the regime? Do you think that the pure way of life and the incredibly sacred hearts and minds will inspire these people to rise up?

My advice is to not hold your breath.

Oh, look, a masterclass in objective history! This chart is a breathtakingly flawless piece of historical fiction, perfectly engineered for anyone who likes their geopolitics delivered with all the nuance of an 80s Saturday morning cartoon.

Let's marvel at the sheer comedic genius required to print this with a straight face:

  • The Amnesia of 1956: Conveniently, the 1956 Suez Crisis completely vanished from the timeline. Because nothing says "factual history chart" like accidentally misplacing an entire full-scale tri-nation invasion of Egypt involving Israel, Britain, and France. Oops!

  • The Magic Surprise Attack: According to the 1967 entry, Israel was the one "attacked." Apparently, launching a massive, unannounced, preemptive airstrike that vaporized the entire Egyptian air force while it was still parked on the tarmac counts as "getting attacked first." Truly, a revolutionary new definition of self-defense.

  • The 100% Win Rate: Branding the 2006 Lebanon War as a resounding Israeli victory is an incredible touch of fantasy. Someone should probably let the Israeli government’s own Winograd Commission know that they wasted all that time investigating their military and strategic failures during that war. If only they had looked at this JPEG instead!

  • The Sinai Refund: Declaring a flawless, zero-asterisk win for the 1973 Yom Kippur War is equally brilliant. Nothing screams "total military dominance" quite like a victory so absolute that you immediately sign a peace treaty and hand the entire Sinai Peninsula back to the country you supposedly just crushed.

It is honestly impressive how this chart manages to compress a century of incredibly complicated, tragic, and multi-layered human conflict into a simple binary score sheet where one side has permanent "God Mode" turned on.

If you ever need to pass a history test—or if you just want to understand reality—it is highly recommended to do the exact opposite of whatever this graphic suggests.

I wish a member of AN would give an example of any source, anywhere in the world, that is objective about Israel's conflicts with the Palestinians and other Arabs.

That will be difficult as whatever evidence found would be debunked by both sides of the conflict, as you are subtly attempting to do here.

Nick.C, posts a history of sweetness and light in favor of the Israeli's.

Somjot, counters with a different version, showing out and out lies.

So the arguments go on, as in all wars, the victor rights the history, rightly or wrongly.

"objective" adjective

Existing independent of or external to the mind; actual or real.

"objective reality."

Based on observable phenomena; empirical.

"objective facts."

Uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices: synonym: fair.

"an objective critic."

Similar: fair

No he didn't .

Egypt amassing 100 000 soldiers on Israel's border was a hostile act .

An Egyptian invasion was imminent , Israel attacked them before they could invade .

There were no lies in my post .

Egypt amassing 100 000 solders on Israel's border is what caused the war .

There were no out and out lies in my post .

The only questionable point was whether sending 100 000 soldiers to an enemies borders started the war , or whether the war started when the first shot were fired .

That reminds me of an old joke within journalism. If both sides of an issue, whether it's left/right politics or something purely local, complain an article is slanted, it must be unbiased. 😄

Or, you took a whole list of facts .

Questioned a few debatable content and then dismissed the whole list as being lies .

Logic, Like, "It not true that Hamas started the war on Oct 7 th because it was Israel who started the 1967 war "

More tripe from you, where did I dismiss any of your post, I just pointed out the parts that were clearly biased towards Israel, the parts you missed off your list, which Somjot pointed out.

That and the fact I was answering a post from Evil, nothing to do with you, yet again because you don't like something posted doesn't make it wrong for others to have a different point of view.

One conflict out of 15 named conflicts doesn't really alter the point that its usually, nearly always that its Israel that gets attacked and its NOT Israel starting the wars .

1 war out of 15 doesn't change the point raised .

BTW , omitting something isn't a lie

Oh, absolutely! If hundreds of thousands of Palestinians hadn't inconveniently chosen to leave their ancestral homes and villages during the 1948 Nakba, everyone would be living in perfect harmony today.

It was terribly impolite of them to have a grievance about their land being partitioned by a UN plan without their consent. Who wouldn't immediately throw a welcome party?

And let’s definitely agree that the ongoing expansion of settlements in the West Bank—which international law persistently calls illegal, but who cares about footnotes?—and the long-standing blockade of the Gaza Strip have absolutely nothing to do with fueling hostility.

They are obviously just casual, decades-long consequences for making the "wrong choice" generations ago.

Because as we all know, history is a strictly one-way street where only one side's actions have consequences.

We should also completely ignore the 1993 Oslo Accords, where the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) officially recognized the Right of Israel to exist in peace.

Acknowledging that would just ruin the beautifully uncomplicated narrative that one side has strictly refused peace for a century, while the other side has pursued it with flawless, unblemished diplomacy.

It is just so much more comforting to believe that millions of people collectively woke up one day and decided to "choose war," rather than dealing with the messy, uncomfortable realities of military occupation, displacement, and competing historical claims.

Ah, yes—the timeless, comforting bedtime story of the strictly pacifist Israelis and the inherently war-hungry Palestinians who simply wake up every day rejecting neighborly harmony.

It truly is a masterclass in historical fiction, though the last three years have acted as a rather inconvenient spoiler for the global audience.

And let’s not forget that legendary fable: 'We offered them a state, but they just love being stateless too much!'

It’s a beautiful myth, provided you define a 'sovereign state' as a fragmented collection of enclaves where the fine print reads: '

We keep the prime real estate we already took, you get to manage the scraps we haven't gotten around to grabbing yet, and as a bonus, you get absolutely no independent government, no control over your borders, and definitely no army, navy, or air force.'

Who could possibly turn down such a generous offer of absolute subjugation?

It is almost touching to see the world suddenly acting shocked by blatant land grabs and mass displacement, especially when they are backed by the most intellectually insulting excuses, like 'protecting historical ruins.'

But let’s be fair to Israel: they didn’t reinvent the wheel over the last three years. They’ve been practicing this exact form of real estate acquisition for decades—they were just polite enough to do it slowly and quietly before, so the rest of the world could comfortably look the other way."

who started the 1967 war in the middle east?

Simple question asked of the 3 top search engines, (see below) but not according to you, it was everybody else's fault, so yes, you did lie.

https://www.bing.com/copilotsearch?q=who+started+the+1967+war+in+the+middle+east&FORM=CSSCOP

The 1967 Middle East conflict, or Six-Day War, was triggered when Israel launched preemptive strikes against Egypt, though it occurred amid escalating tensions and military mobilizations by multiple Arab states.

The Surprise Attack

On June 5, 1967, Israel launched a surprise preemptive strike against Egyptian airfields, marking the official start of the Six-Day War. This attack aimed to incapacitate the Egyptian air force and was followed by ground offensives into the Sinai Peninsula and against Syrian positions in the Golan Heights.

The First Strike

The Israel Defense Forces decided to strike first. They believed an Arab invasion was certain and imminent. On the morning of June 5, 1967, Israeli warplanes attacked Egyptian airbases and destroyed most of Egypt's air force on the ground. Jordan and Syria then entered the active fighting, leading to a six-day war where Israel captured the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Sinai Peninsula, and Golan Heights.
