Seems some do not know the reality of women in Thailand, where hookers, freelancers and genuine innocent women often exist along a very thin line.

Information is coming, and I will only say this once. Normal women from all over Thailand travel to bars and nightclubs in Pattaya and Patong with their friends to party. They are open to having a drink, joking around, meeting new people, and maybe you are the lucky one who meets a genuine Thai woman.

But it comes with a reality check. If it is too good to be true, it most likely is.

In Pattaya they tend to be sick of dirty farang hitting on them, you'll find girls more friendly outside of Pattaya where they don't see many farang, downside is their English will be most likely limited.

It is quite easy to meet a civilian here. In public, on the BTS, at a store, etc. Be aggressive, and assertive. And use humor. That women love to laugh and love a playful guy, who does not take himself too seriously. Thai women are generally friendly, especially if you speak some Thai. You will not get shut down like in the West. They may not be interested, but they will be polite about it. And it is a numbers game.

A good friend of mine, who lived in the world's greatest gold mine for women, Bangkok, told me he methodically approached at least ten women a day, and got at least three of their phone numbers, or line contacts. He kept busy, and usually had a big smile on his face. Bangkok is unique. There are a ridiculous number of gorgeous women there. He also had good success in smaller towns too. Granted he had alot of game, and some bling too, which they like.

She probably would have sex with me for free.

She didn't look down on me because I was a foreigner.

OK, it wasn't a bar, the strongest drink you could buy there is Sponsor electrolyte drink.

But yeah if wanting to date, agism is indeed real in Thailand and there is a lot of 35+ year olds who are desperate, they might tag along because they know they otherwise end up alone anyway, so they will accept the farang rudeness, being old/fat/ugly etc.

People forget that to a Thai it is in the first place mostly just about 'is the guy chill enough' and 'is the money improving my life'. Also easy to forget that they not marry equal or down in asia, preferable 99% cases. They marry up only as else marriage is pointless.

That's why many of these very pretty ones that are maybe at best 30 years old today, with a 60 year old richer pensioner. They know they can still have a life soon after, with a very serious amount of wealth. As long the farang shts up and drinks his chang, they are fine.

If you have issues dating in Thailand that is either 100% your personality or 100% your wallet, or a combination of both. Period. It's childs play to date in SE asia, i could get 10-20 dates by tonight, just going on dating sites.

A lot of this new westerners also talk to Thai ladies as if they are teenagers, or on purpose make stupid jokes as if they talk to a teenager. This is such a hardcore turn off for Thais. Same with poor attempts to speak broken Thai.

Last but not least many older farangs expect a feminist thai wife, to take care of them, to choose the activities, etc etc. This while that is the very opposite of desires today, the man is supposed to protect, take the lead and more. The wife at best, pays the bills, with your money.

The irony with that last part is that many farangs claim to hate feminism, and for that reason like Thai girls. Yet they go into the dating and relationships with expectations of a western half feminist woman. This attracts the wrong types of thai ladies from poverty families.

IF you are not a natural leader you have issues in dating already, for sure. That's the guys who are slaves to their Thai wives. This is why many of the good marriages and relationships, are entrepreneurs; leaders.

Most girls, when they go out, go out to have fun with friends, so they are not going to bars where Farang are going to hit on them like they are working girls.

Be careful, though in Thai bars Thai boys seem to get jealous quickly

It can be done Canada Sam, you only have to look at the number of posters on here who have financially independent, property-owning, successful business executive Thai wives. They are testimony to that.

When I first hit Pattaya 27 years ago the first 2 nights I bar fined two different ladies. On the third night I was walking along the beach near Soi 13. A lady approached me and she went back to my hotel room with me. I probably had 5-6 ladies from the beach over an18 months period. They were ok and they had one thing in common. They went off like a bucket of pawns in the sun, without the smell. Obviously they were out to impress. Don't listen to the utter crap mamma sans say about how they take care of their ladies. When comparing bar ladies and beach ladies the only difference is the price.

Plenty of women on Thai Cupid. Just make sure they’re locals not from the villages in rural Thailand unless you want to move!

If you do not speak fluent Thai, you have zero chance to meet educated women in LOS. Pattaya just makes it worse.

I found my wife by meeting girls on the website Thai friendly, went on dates with different girls, ended up being introduced to one of her friends, she was a bank worker never visited bars but if she did it would be a Thai speaking restaurant. We are now married and live together in UK.

I'd really like to try and meet a woman with a regular job, who is not a freelancer or bar lady!

Welcome to Thailand where the majority of Thai try to adhere to the teaching of the Buddha ... to varying degrees. One of the teachings is to avoid things, such as alcohol which dull the senseless from being present in experiencing every moment. Thus, most Thai girls, traditionally raised will not be found in bars. IMHO

I wouldn’t bother looking in Pattaya. No offence to those that live there but it’s known for the naughty nightlife so if they’re in a farang bar, they’re hookers working. If they’re in a Thai bar, they’re keeping away from farang. 😁

Plenty in Bangkok but not around Nana or Soi Cowboy. Bars / restaurants around somewhere like Iconsiam are unlikely to attract hookers. Look on Google maps for reviews in Thai. Craft beer bars are quite popular with Thais if you don’t want to go to a traditional Thai bar.

Lots of regional bars e.g. Soi 51 in Hua Hin

Never dawns on folks that many normal woman don't go to bars, especially alone. Try having a conversation with a woman outside the bar scene. Especially if looking for a relationship. Or as suggested, in a all Thai venue serving alcohol.

Many times when on the prowl, I was the only foreigner at a bar or club. Plenty of like minded Thai woman out there, fun times.

If looking for a relationship, maybe best not to find one in a bar. Back in the day, would hate to hook up with a gal that drank more alcohol than myself.
