Trump Offers Every American $5,000 for Republican Victory

Donald is a fast learner. He has found out that in most 3rd or 4th world countries votes are "bought". Applicable to the US as he knows his "clientele".

President Donald Trump snapped at a reporter on Thursday night after she tried to ask a basic question about the $5,000 checks he promised to every American adult if Republicans win the midterm elections.

❤️“If your economic policies are working, why do you need an incentive for people to turn out to vote?” ABC’s Rachel Scott asked.❤️

Trump didn’t quite answer.

“I didn’t do it for turning out the vote. I did it as a reward for people having to put up with five years and four years of horrible, a horrible situation caused by Biden,” he said, then continued a string of attacks on former President Joe Biden.

“It’s almost a reward for the people having to put up with Biden’s policies.”

Scott tried to follow up by asking about the tariff refund checks Trump had promised Americans, but never delivered on ― except he cut her off.

“Not you! Not you!” Trump said, then leaned in toward her as she continued to speak. “Hey! Not you!”

😂😂😂

Another reporter began to speak, but Trump wasn’t done with Scott.

“Your network and you, you’re the worst,” he added.

While Trump frequently attacks both male and female reporters as well as the media in general, he has been especially vicious toward the women who cover him.

He called Katie Rogers of The New York Times “ugly” after she co-authored a report on his lighter schedule as he ages, and he frequently rails against the Times’ Maggie Haberman, whom he has called “Maggot Hagerman.”

The president has attacked ABC’s Mary Bruce for asking what he called “a horrible, insubordinate, and just a terrible question,” insulted Bloomberg’s Catherine Lucey with a now-infamous “Quiet, piggy!” and ripped CNN’s Kaitlan Collins as “Very dumb and unhappy,” among other insults.

Trump is clearly just doing what Biden did and offering a 'reward' if GOP retains the House and Senate. Seems to me, judging by all the negative comments, that there are a lot of very 'activist' left wing Expats living here in Thailand (those on this forum) who are clearly very 'conflicted'. I just dont understand why anyone with an anti-conservative anti-nationalistic anti-monarchy list of personal values could live in a country that is such a right wing nationalistic monarchy - perhaps that is why all the negativity?

Utter nonsense. It's not the same thing and you know it. Nothing in regard to voting was being required of those with Federal student loans. With Trump, he is illegally paying you $5000 if you vote for Republican candidates. You only get the money if Republicans hold Congress. Totally breaking the law, totally trying to influence the outcome of the mid-term elections by literally buying votes for $5000. Has already illegally interferred with the election outcome just with the highly publicized illegal bribe. Could not be clearer.

Internationally accepted and qualified as "corruption". The US under Trump has joined the club.

Hassett Says Trump $5,000 Checks Can Be Fiscally Responsible

"We can do it in a fiscally responsible way," Hassett said in an interview Thursday with Bloomberg TV. "It is a serious proposal."

He argued that "because of all the growth and all the wealth being created in the US, the president thinks we need to return more of that to the American people." He said one way of doing that is via a reconciliation bill — a legislative mechanism that the majority party in the House and Senate can use for a fiscal package that bypasses the need for votes from the opposing party.

Why is a non-American leftist so upset over U.S. financial policy?

Humour me. Why would anyone who has even a micron of common sense continue to support a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, draft dodging conman? I don't think either party is particularly appealing, but Trump is clearly incompetent and a threat to the former allies of the country.

Because he gives them money, or something useful.

I lived in rural Brazil for a while. Candidates for local elections would print up "vote for me" tee shirts and give them out in the poorest parts of town. Why would they accept them and wear them? Probably has something to do with working for less than US$2 per day. The cloth was of such poor quality there was nothing left to them by election day.

BTW, in that country NOT voting is against the law, punishable with a fine. In Thailand if the voter turnout is too low they election is void. I think these are both good ideas.

This. This right here. This is the horrible legacy of Trump. Trump proposes bribing the American voters by illegally giving each of them $5,000 if, and only if, the Republicans win the mid-terms. Paying voters to vote a certain way is totally illegal in America. ILLEGAL. Worse, the illegal $5,000 bribe was broadcast with very high publicity by the president, who commands the media. With this broad publicity offering his very sizable illegal bribe, he has already illegally tmpered with and affected the outcome of the mid-terms.

The debate should be about when he should be arrested and charged with his huge election bribe crime. Instead, in this Twilight Zone we are in, we have his lawbreaking once again ignored. And, we have one of his flunkies discussing how his $1.2 trillion with a 'T' illegal bribe scheme can be implemented and paid for, if the Republicans do, indeed, win, courtesy of the massive voter bribe. This is the horrible legacy of Trump.

Let me simplify it for the mentally challenged (aka MAGA). We're going to tariff everything and get 4 trillion from you and give you 1.3 trillion back. What a deal. Of course we're going to pocket the remaining 2.7 trillion. Make sure you vote for us.

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the term National Debt?

In case you're too obtuse to get it, the $5000 bribe/lie is not going to come out of the fat's man's wallet. The $1, 350,000,000,000 sum would be added to the National Debt, which means the citizens would theoretically assume responsibility for repaying that debt. So what Trump is lying about (no way he would follow through) is that he would take money from a citizen, and then give it to the same citizen....and expect gratitude.

Giving people their own money is not generosity by anybody's definition, save for a MAGA.

Anyway, I suspect that check would come after Mexico pays for the wall, after "private contributions" pay for Trump's ballroom, and after the "two or three day" Iran War of Choice ends.

How about I come into your house, steal your TV, and then give it to you as a birthday present? Yes, I've got a Trumpian kind of generosity.

I had long been of the opinion that the average MAGA sat 2 standard deviations left of the mean on the IQ Bell Curve. I was too generous---and not in the Trumpian sense.

It's at least 3 standard deviations.

we got the 2020 "Cares Act" checks .. 1200 for me , 1200 for the wife and 500 for my son

How about this slant?

Trump is not breaking the law with bribes as the $5,000 will never be paid even if ignorant populace takes the bait.

Show me your DOGE check. Show me your 'tariff dividend'.

Fool me once, shame on you

Fool me over and over, and I'll show you a Trump cultist

A clever move in many respects......it could shift the dial in the Republicans favour, yet Trump knows he will never have to foot the bill..........if they lose it's dead in the water......if they win, ways will be found to ensure Congress get the blame for not paying up.

A 5000 dollar bribe won't be enough to pay for plummeting polls numbers.

I posted yesterday already what they have on their sleeve to avoid congress.
