Has anyone done the mae sot - myawaddi run recently and can advise:

1. hassle free?

2. days and times border open

3. correct that no burmese visa required, pay fee 250 baht same as mae sai?

I've seen earlier postings on this, but wanted an update.

The times are 6:00am to 6:00pm. The Thai boys are easy to get on with, for Burma you need two passport photo's and the price is 500B. Yes that is the correct price.

take a songthel from town, from near thai farmer bank on main rd of intharakiri rd.

to the border. pay 10 USD or 500 bahts to myanmar immigration, can make a u-turn tight away, no problem. not much too see the myanmar side. many motorbike boys and store boys will offer tourists everything from sightseeing, tobacco, tiger tooth, magic mushroom, ecstasy, opium, lady lady, massage, sex CD vcd, ect. ect.
