I want to be a teacher
In my view, at this late date, on either IS or IS NOT a teacher. Teaching is in the blood, you know. You can't just take a TEFL course and then call yourself a teacher. How many foreign languages do you speak, for one thing? Do you speak them fluently? I would say, in addition, that you need to know more than your students, which might present an insurmountable barrier to many wannabe teachers that arrive in Asia. I would not get too excited, if I were you. Teaching is not about instant gratification and immediate success. Also, you need to find good students. You might not always find good students, so easily. Teaching rotten students is a thankless task. Teaching for free, as a volunteer teacher, may not provide you with the type of lifestyle of which you may dream. Then, one requires great patience and empathy for students, not to mention a thorough understanding of their culture. When one speaks of the excitement of teaching, this mostly derives from seeing faster progress than one had originally anticipated. As for me, if I were to teach, then I would only accept GENIUS students from China. All others, I would cast aside. I am too old to teach dumb ones. -

COVID Vaccines Could INTEGRATE with Human DNA: Yale Research
Thanks for speaking up. It will encourage others to do it, it's the only way to get the truth out and silence the deniers. If you're interested in a Spike protein detox protocol, drop me a PM. -

Home-Country Ghosts of Christmas Past: Do you miss them?
Wow, now it's Ghosts, after Refined Falangs 3 hours ago and Flaunting Wealth yesterday morning, as well as several others. Gamma, you joined as this name in July 2021, 42 moths ago. Since then you have posted 12667 times, which in my maths is 301 per month or TEN EVERY DAY. What do you do the rest of your time? -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
Indeed indeed. but for now based on multiple sources, I'm pretty sure that IRAs and 401Ks will be classed as accessible pension income and the FULL AMOUNT of withdrawals will be the relevant number as far as the portion of that remitted to Thailand. This video gets into this deeply. If anyone has any evidence that IRAs and 401Ks can be accounted for in a cost basis profit/loss manner as non retirement account investments are, please post it. I'm not pretending to be any kind of expert. I'm just trying to figure all this stuff out so I can tax plan better. On the IRA/401K thing, I'm sure these answers will be of interest to the majority of retired American expats in Thailand. Some good news in the video. It implies because of the DTA that IF you must pay tax in Thailand on any of these vehicles you can get a credit back from the U.S. Apparently under the DTA ONLY THAILAND has a claim to tax these vehicles. It implies for example that if you must pay Thai tax on your Roth IRA withdrawal which is tax free in the U.S. that you can file for that money to be refunded to you by the IRS. -
