September 21, 200718 yr I'm thinking about buying a townhouse in Chiang Mai and want to go the safe route--get a lawyer to do the title search, sale and purchase agreements, and registration of transfer ownership. How much do you think it would cost to have a lawyer do these? I know I could just call some lawyers and get a rough quote, but I would like to be informed beforehand. Since it will be in my wife's name I won't need any other services, such as a shell company, lease agreeements and all that. If she wants to dump me, she can have the house--and yes, I'm not "investing" any money here that I'm not willing to walk away from. Thanks in advance...
