The rainy season is unlikely to be over for another month (but one never knows...)...

and there's usually a gap between it and the cold time.

Many locals wear warm clothing at the least provocation. Whether (weather?) this has anything to do with the 3-layers worn frequently by actors on thai TV, one can only guess. My wife says, in the hills one will have a fire to warm up by...

Definitely had a couple of cool nights but last night back to normal. Suspect rain tonight, we sat out side for a while after getting back from Mae Sai and there was a definite atmospheric weather shift.

Thais have an expected median temperature of about 78 degrees F (I don't think in Centigrade).

If it's a couple degrees above, they say it's hot - a tiny bit below , they say it's cold.

It hasn't been cold here in C.Rai. It's been a slight bit cool compared to the median temp of this time of year.

For a people with such sensitivity to a couple of degree shift up or down, I wonder how the Thai climbing team is going to handle Everest.
