How long usually takes to change from a tourist visa to a marriage visa from the time of the application, since I have another month left on my tourist visa status.

I don't recall anyone giving such details but could be wrong. Those that I recall were changing from tourist to retirement and had the proof ready and it, if recall correctly, did not take long at all.

The normal procedure for marriage was always to go to Penang or other close consulate with marriage certificate/copy of her id card and obtain a single entry non immigrant O visa. You then returned and sometime after 60 days have gone by made the application for extension of stay.
