My 30 day tourist visa expires on the 29 October and I am due to leave Thailand on the 10 November

So I need 12 days extension, I am married in Thailand is there any way I can get this 12 day extension at Bkk immigration office.

If I have to go to Singapore for a visa I will apply for a one year Non Immigrant Type "O" Visa.

The last time I applied for such a visa in Singapore all they required was a copy of my marriage licence but reading some of these posts it seems a lot more is now required

1 Bank statement showing 400K on deposit

2 Signed photo copy of wife's ID card

3 Signed copy of marriage certificate and original

4 2 photos

Have I got all this correct

Johna, If you're a national of one of the 40 countries below or from Hong Kong S.A.R.

then what you have is a "tourist visa exemption". It is only extendable for 7-days.

An actual "tourist visa" is a different thing, but without knowing your nationality for

certain, it's not possible to advise you on how long that may be extended.

Penang may be a better choice for multi entry at this time - several have reported none or minimum bank requirements.

granted only one time with

the granted period not

exceeding 60 days.

If you have not done so before you can obtain a 60 day extension of stay one time from immigration under police order 606/2006 section 7.23
