Drainage Cover Attempts To Eat Thai Lady

Unlucky Girl’s Leg Stuck in Drain

011007_7.jpg

A young lady’s leg slipped through a water drainage cover on North Pattaya and her leg got stuck in the steel lid.

We followed Sawang Rescuers to in front of a gas station on North Pattaya Road to make a report on this story at 4 am on Sunday 30th September.

On arrival we found residents comforting the 16 year old girl who was crying in pain. It appeared that the lid had gaps which were really big – big enough for her leg to fall through.

We talked to her once they got her leg out and she stated that she was heading home.

The team quickly gave her first aid and then took her to the hospital to be properly treated by specialists.

Presumably she will be talking to her lawyer first thing Monday morning to obtain compensation. :o

For sure the drainage cover will not try to eat Farang. :o

Is she drunk or walking with her eyes closed. She needs to buy some snow shoes.

I don't know it that would work out in Thailand by going to a lawyer.

This is not USA, I should say you walk at your own risk. She will be careful next time.

Looking at the picture of that drain cover - it certainly wouldn't win any safety design awards. Extremely user-unfriendly!!
