Police Lieutenant Colonel Santi from Pattaya Police Station was assigned to this case involving a Russian Tourist caught up in an attempted Bag Snatch in South Pattaya. The victim is Miss Tatiana Coloclovnic aged 22 from Russia. She was waiting for a Baht Bus on the street when two men approached her on foot and proceeded to snatch her shoulder bag containing a digital camera, 1,870 Russian Rubles, a mobile phone and other personal documents. The two men fled on foot but were pursued by members of the public and detained in front of the nearby Welcome Plaza Hotel on Pattaya Second Road. The two men were named as Khun Banyar aged 22 and Khun Tirapong aged 20, both work as Muay Thai Exhibition Boxers at the Best Friend Beer Bar Complex on Beach Road in South Pattaya. Khun Tirapong confirmed it was his idea to conduct the bag snatch because his mother is sick and he needed money to cover incurred medical expenses. Despite the reasoning behind the snatch, the two men were charged with theft and are currently behind bars awaiting a court appearance. Miss. Tatiana thanked the Police and members of the public for their assistance and was happy to receive back her bag and the items contained within.

Anyone know how much 1,870 rubles are in Baht?

Anyone know how much 1,870 rubles are in Baht?

~ 2400 Baht

It would seem that being an exhibition Muay Thai boxer does not involve running training. :o
