Help For Novice Computer User

Featured Replies

I have a friend in central Bangkok who has a laptop with which he uses to connect to the internet. His problem is that from time to time he gets in a knot with some of the software he uses and needs a friendly shop that he can take it to to sort it out for him.

I am in the UK until next year so my assistance is limited but is there any place you can recommend to help him out?

tourist information :o They may wipe his ass for him aswell if he asks nicely :D

Go to Pantip and bring it into Data IT (2nd floor) or IT City (5th floor I think...whatever is at the top). Given that your friend may not be very knowledgable about computers, he/she can try those places.. They are a bit more helpful than the other shops. I'm a computer tech and if you PM me the problem, I could try to give you and your friend suggestions as to how to fix the problem.

Most any Internet Cafe either has someone on staff

that is knowledgable, or knows someone who is because

they often have tricky problems to solve.

My girl knows virtually nothing about using the computer,

and she found someone to teach her to webcam with me

while I was back in the States.

Just have her/him go to and ask at 3 or 4 ICs and they

will find someone.

Also, type into Google ..."computer help"

Several sites available to solve many problems ... free.

Thanks for the replies, he is living very close to Pantip but to date has not found anyone there who can help. However he has read your posts and will give it another try. I move to the LOS in several months so I will be able to help him myself then rather than trying to advise him over the internet.

Yes I'm sure he can wait several months for you to to help him.

Can you tell us a little more about his problem?

Try the Notebook Shop, 4th Floor IT Mall Fortune Town. It's in the Rotunda area. Tel 02-641-0785-7 Khun Kantima or Khun Phaisan
