What's Going Up In Pinklao?

Featured Replies

The old mary/Merry King building has been empty for eight years. Now they're doing something with it. Does anyone know what it'll be?

The rumours are TescoLotus, BigC and Pan Tip (3).

I guess with the new bus station easing the traffic past Central, they need something to clog it all up again!

it will home a lotus (unlikely as just arround the corner (max 5km) is another one) but seems to be true.

There was a poster last weekent telling this the public.

Well if there where no central and no major this part (between taling chan and charang would be pretty much empty)

Lets see how nice they do.

Some ppl worry abt. The building itself. 8years is quite a long time.

there is in fact a TescoLotus supermarket only since a year or 2 in the PATA dept.store just before (if coming rom town)

there are, unlike along the Phetkasem rd, No hypermarkets along that main road, so they expect probably enough traffic coming from al the new housng estates. tesco is also at BangPlay=4 kms away) or along the kanchanapisek ring road, near Bangyai (plus Carrefour, Big C and what used to be ""Super King= also abandoned Merry King big sixe)

is Merry King the one that had the zoo on top :o

Pata is the one with the zoo

nice place the tesco (but still no real reason for one to be there)

3 floors useless foodplaces and other standard thnings you can get just at central or major ... next door

but the construction is maded quite impressive ...

change a 10 year old building in somethings new ..
