Blackberry Roaming For Free?

Featured Replies

Does anyone use Blackberry service here in Thailand?

I hear that in some countries, particularly the UK and US, that if you are using the Blackberry service there, there is a glitch in the system so that you can have free international Blackberry roaming when traveling abroad.

Does anyone know anything about this?

It is easy to get global roaming packages for the Blackberry. I think I paid a US$5 /month premium. No glitch, just the way RIM negotiated the contracts. I haven't seen any other devices with global roaming packages that offer unlimited data.

I tried asking AIS about this and all they said was that you must pay roaming fees when traveling abroad becuase you have to use GPRS (roaming) to access your e-mails.

Are you using Blackberry service from Thailand?
