Of all the promoted clubs...Derby never stood a chance, even befor a ball was kicked.

They are this years "Watford"

But I bet their fans would rarther be playing at this level for a year than pushing for promotion in the Championship.

Its been countles years since Derby wee in the top teir , many of their fans have never sen them play the big boys, so they will enjoy their year whatever the outcome.

I read a comment by Steve Coppell yesterday in the Bangkok Post where he said that although Reading were struggling this season the fans have never had it so good.

Coming off the back of two very good seasons they are still the the Premiership, setting new club records every week, win or loose, as they have only been in England's top teir for 1 and a bit seasons in their 130 year history.

We Reading fans couldnot be more proud of our team than we are. We only have to be better than 2 other teams to stay up, and I think we are.

Yesterday Sunderland could only manage a draw with Newcastle, we beat them, and we have also beaten Wigan, Everton and Derby at home.

If we can just keep our home form going, (although I am not expecting much from the Arsenal game) we will be OK...17th spot will do nicely with Fulham , Wigan and Derby below us.

Have to say that Deby are certainly the worst team in Premiership history in my opinion,. They are seriously going to give Sunderlands unwanted record a good try this year.

As TP said, it really is no suprise, and the fact that they have invested very little in what was already a squad clearly out of it's depth at this level is now starting to borne out. They are going to get some serious drubbings this season.
