I have plan without much of a clue! I plan on giving myself 18 months to move to bkk but i want to know what should i do first? find the job? get the visa? and the most advisable route for me to go. I have a small support system there of Thai nationals who will help me as much as i need but i need just a push in the right direction! Thanks for your help!

Read, read, read. Here, there and everywhere. You need a clue and a plan. After you start to have some idea of what is involved and can provide details is the time to ask for specific advise. Good luck.

I suggest you come and visit using a double entry tourist visa, obtained from the Embassy or Consulate in your country.

This will give you 6 months, with extensions, to check out what is available here.

Once you plans are finalised and you have a job offer then you can pop down to Penang and get a Non Immigrant visa
