Gmail

Featured Replies

I have been using Gmail for some time now and am quite pleased with it.

Recently, however I have had problems in logging out. When I try to logout it just says "waiting" and nothing happens. If I turn the computer off and then turn on the next day I am still logged on. This is a problem as the computer is in my office and is a shared computer.

I'm using Windows XP Professional and Internet Explorer. I've found out that if I go into Tools, Options, ... and delete files I can logout but I don't want to do this every time.

Any ideas as how to solve this problem?

never had this problem.

try downloading googletalk and using gmail through it - might solve

try to clean up your cookies and your temporary internet files (or in case of firefox the cache)

Stop using Internet Explorer & start using Firefox. Make sure that Firefox is "set up" correctly (which will be your next question).

Yes, I use Firefox at home and have set it up properly. I have no problems here. It's only at work. Yes, I have to delete files and cookies EVERY time to close down gmail.

It's only with Internet Explorer and Gmail that I have this problem.

Hotmail, Yahoo close down without problems. I have checked settings in Gmail and Internet Explorer but still cannot solve the problem.
