Want To Buy Phantom In Pattaya--suggestions?

Featured Replies

I want to buy a Phantom in Pattaya.

I have visited Mityon on 3rd and S. Pattaya Road and the one across the street and just back toward 2nd road.

I am having trouble finding a salesperson who A. speaks passable english, B. knows anything at all about the motorcycle, C. can answer simple questions like "If I order the bike today, will it be a 2007 model or 2008 model?", D. doesn't sigh and act as though I am completely wasting his time.

(And no, I didn't give them attitude--just tried to get answers, failed, smiled and left).

Does such a shop or person exist, or should I resign myself to simply making this fairly significant purchase off the shelf as I would a Leo beer at 7/11?

Suggestions appreciated...

I felt the same way when I bought my CBR150. Seems like the sales(wo)men don't have a clue about customer satisifcation. There was one place, in Samut Prakarn where I was comfortable dealing with the owner/operator, and as a matter of fact, the wife is going down there from Nakhon Sawan to buy a new Airblade for her mother. They were honestly that much better that we felt it was worth the trip. PM me if you want the specifics of that shop.

I bought my Phantom from a shop on #3 Road, one block (south) of the Xcite Disco.

I didn't have too many questions though, as I already was pretty set on that model. They did make a point of mentioning that the ones they had on the floor were the previous year's models, and if I wanted the next year's model they could bring one over for me.

I told them I wanted a black one, and about a half hour later it was at the shop. The sales girls were very helpful with the paperwork (I did have my landlady's sister with me just in case there were translation problems, but she wasn't really needed).

The shop is located on the same side of #3 road as the disco. I think it is between soi Lengkee and soi Diana Inn (hard to read the soi names on my map when I enlarge it).

Thanks for the suggestion. Not that familiar with 3rd road area. Is that between Theprasit and Pattaya Thai? Pattaya Tai and Pattaya Klang? or further North? Anxious to check it out.

Here is a crop of a map that should help you out.
