I'll try posting this question again. Earlier today posted it, and it mysteriously has vanished.

Have an imac and am wondering if there is any software around to block, inhibit, prevent loading of advertisements and commercials that slow page loading and clutter the page.

Another question. Is spyware available as well

You could google for ADD Blocker Software for Mac!! May you're able to do it by your self?!

For advertisements use Firefox with the AdBlocker Plus extension (available from the top menu "tools>Add-ons").

To block software from calling home, use Little Snitch.
