Hi folks,

This is manoj from bombay, India. I need purchase a CBR150, which is only made in thaailand.

The problem here is that you pay a import duty of 100 percent on a imported vehicle.

But if you import it as a completely knocked down (CDK) kit, the import duty is around 30-35 %

Importing bikes upto 800 cc is permitted here.

Can any one of you tell me more on this

I would, if I was you, wait a bit to buy one. As the Honda CBR-150Ri (with Electronic Fuel Injection) is expected to be introduced soon. The Fuel Injection model has much more power in the low-range revs and does about 3km more on 1 liter fuel.

none confirmed rumors, suggest also that the Honda CBR-150Ri PGM-FI will be equipped with ceramic coated piston, and would have a better suited combustion chamber, larger intake and exhaust....

If I was you I will not import a Honda CBR-150R, I will just walk in India to your Yamaha dealer and buy a Yamaha R15, cheaper, bigger more performance and spare parts are easy to obtain.
