Laser Hair Removal

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can have my back and sides of torso lasered and at what cost? Sheryl for some other issue recommended Apex Beauty.

Thanks

Almost every place seems to do it. On the cheaper side is Vejthani and Yanhee.

Yes, virtually all the hospitals can do it, also the many Skin clinics around town, including Apex. Costs vary by where you have it done and also the size of the body area. Will need at least 5 treatments, buy a package as it is much cheaper.

After you find out the price, consider that you might have to do lots of sessions. I started a treatment thinking it would take 3-4 times and ended up doing more than ten. And the results are not that great anyway. It depends from person to person and works better on people with dark hair. If you have blonde hair, expect a long hassle.

Oh, and one more thing - they don't usually tell you this, but I found out while researching the subject on the internet: don't go sunbathing while you are doing the treatment, it reduces the efectiveness.

I purchased a package of treatments at Apex (I think it was five?) with a guarantee that hair would not return. The extent of the "guarantee" was that they would continue giving you treatments for a six-month period, and then they stopped even if the hair kept re-appearing. The body parts that they treated on that plan (about 3 years ago?) are now almost as hirsute as they were before the 11 treatments I endured (the last several treatments were at the highest setting on the machine and hurt like h*ll) in that 6-month period. And, I do have dark body hair. I have a friend in Canada (with dark hair) who experienced the same hair-regrowth problem as I.

So, while it may work for you, don't be totally surprised if it doesn't...

Hi and thanks. I called Apex in Pattaya and spoke with a Philipina. The price was totally stupid (50k) for one treatment. the price was cut in half after my whinge - if I took a package. The whole thing seemed smarmy and I was really put off. Also I sent an email via web and they never responded but most of all about apex at Pattaya, they are not using the best lasers as identified on the internet. So, on top of the crazy cost - lasers not good.

I used to have hairy back but had been waxing for years. ive cut the hair down dramtically by doing so and will just continue. You have to be VERY careful in Asia as many salons do not know how to wax (a back) properly.

Heres a great recommendation. A small salon diaganol (sp) from wat chanansongkram a few doors down from sawasdee and the airport bus stop (if its all still there!). years ago it used to be as cheap as b300/350. I need to go back. They are fast and quick and little pain. Two ladies work at once also. Its really great. Khao Sarn Rd.

Thanks all
