Ive been a member of thai visa forum for quite sometime now but I dont really go through the forums sections as I thought it was just all about Thai visa as the web address tell, but later did I found out that theres exist a community here and so,here I am writing my preamble.

Moving soon to live in CNX and I feel that I start to join a community here. I was married almost a year now to a Thai woman.Hope I can have good friends in CNX even just in this forum to start with.

You guys has welcome drinks here??

Welcome to Chiang Mai and congratulations with your marrage! :D

I think if you pop in on this forum on a regular basis, you will make friends after a while.

At Tuskers they have a welcome dinner twice a month. More info here http://www.tuskersbar.com/index.php?page=movingtochiangmai (as for the mentioned outdated dates :o, you can better PM Miltonbentley, send them an email or just pop by at their pub/restaurant. Big chance you meet Thaivisa members there. Parking infront of their place isn't easy, but you can always park at the inner moat, close to The House (is restaurant).

Another place to start is the Chiang Mai Expat Club:

http://www.chiangmaiexpatsclub.com/index.asp and forum http://groups.google.com/group/chiangmai-e...ub/topics?hl=en

There are several groups/activities going on here, such as the computer club, dining club, photography club, biking/cycling club etc etc. If you search this forum you can find more info.

For initiation into the Chiang Mai expat community, one is required to fight Blinky Bill in Thapae Square with your hands tied behind your back. :o

You will note from this that is possible for you to choose to have Ulysses G. fight Blinky Bill while your hands are so tied. :D
