Buying Motorcycle Pants And Gear In Pattaya

I am really getting into this biking thing now and am looking to buy at least some leather pants and a good full or half faced (the one with the pull down face shield helmet. The pants should be motorcycle pants I guess. I'll be bringing it back to Canada, I am assuming it is cheaper to buy them here but I could be wrong. Any suggesions? I am in Pattaya now but will be in Bangkok next week.

Speaking from Chiang Mai biker gear like that is a lot more expensive if you go for the real imported stuff.

2nd hand is good value for money though. I've just bought a decent biker jacket and it only cost 1500 baht. The dudes at Fast Corner were after nearly ten times that for one brand new!

Bangkok is the place where the brand new stuff is normally a bit cheaper before stuff gets exported to the provinces.

It may not be cheaper eh! as imported stuff is not cheap here. Be sure you know both prices.

Paddock (Shoei) or Dirt Shop in BKK. If you can't find them by surfing let me know.

Red Baron has some stuff but is a bit out of town, but not if you visit first if coming from Pataya by car.

Also checkthe Bangkok Riders website, they list most shop there.

leather pants would be extemely hot 10mos. of the year. Go for the kevlar. Likely cheaper back home, check Ebay.

if canada is anything like the states i would wait till i get back as its generally cheaper.

Otherwise i would check out the Paddock shop. easy to get to from ekami via sky train and underground,

i recently bought a jacket here in texas for $150 which were priced 8-10 k baht in Bangkok.

I was in the paddock a few weeks ago and bought a ARAI helmet 22000 baht ($700) and boots 11,000 baht ($350), which is not cheap compared with US prices.

Thanks for the links, I heard somewhere there is a Power Station on theppasit, is this true? if so does anyone know where exactly?

There is a Power Station on Theppasit, north side, about 1 kil from the sea side end of the road.

Was there about a month ago, and not much to see, no helmets, not bike appearl...A few HD accessories, but everything that's for sale is 3x higher than USA prices.
