Good Denon Audio Dealer In Bkk

Anyone know a reliable Denon shop / dealer in BKK that they can recommend.

And if you know if they have the Denon DHT-FS3 in stock that would be great.

Also does UBC broadcast in Digital Stereo?

i have seen denon in the mall bang kapi, 3rd or 4 th floor, also seacon square 3rd floor, also in gaysorn plasa on sukhumvit.

if you dont mind me asking why denon? i am more than happy with yamaha, but only for watching movies, i have a sepearate system for listening to music, because i have never heard a dvd player than gives me the sound i want for listening to audio.

cant talk for other people but as far as i know ubc doesnt broadcast in stereo.

Thanks for the info. I'll check those places out when I get back next week.

Denon has the ipod dock and reviews are 50/50 between sound on the yamaha and the denon system....Also cheaper. Using PS3 bluray for dvd playback through the system.

Did you purchase the Yamaha YPS-1100 Sound bar??? If so where can I listen to it at a dealer in BKK. I am in between the Denon and the Yamaha bar....

They have a shop on the 2nd floor of Siam Paragon and Sukhumvit soi 3 (opposite Bumrungrad hospital).

If you can't find what you're looking for through them you won't find it in Thailand.

sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

i have to go into town tomorrow, thursday, so i will check out the denon shop on sukhumvit soi 3 for you.

at least we will know if the model is available and the price.

i think your choice is dependant on a number of factors, not in any specific order, availability, price you are willing to pay, size and shape of your room, and really at the end of the day, your ears.

i will post a reply on friday, dont know what the results will be, but it make save you a wild goose chase.

Thanks for that appreciate it. Ideally i would like a listen to the Denon and the Yamaha in the stores but probably not possible. The only other option for me i think is the Bose system but the net all rather seems anti Bose - Have not heard there system before so cannot comment.

If its the same as europe the Denon is now selling for $800 after price reduction.

well went up and down sukumvit soi 3 yesterday and couldnt see a denon dealer, in fact i couldnt see an audio shop of any description, not unless it was cleverly disguised as an arabic restaurant.

so sorry cant help with that, if some one gave me a bose system for free i might think about it, thats all i will say for them.

dont want to get into a long winded technical discussion about the merits of one brand over another, as i mentioned before its you who will be listening to it, so if you are happy with what you hear thats all that matters.

Thanks for trying. You know I was thinking I have not seen a audio shop in Soi 3 either in my time here but not a frequent visit to that area....I have the feeling its in the actual Denon Thailand office i the building but will have a look tomorrow.

Bose yeah.......the systems look nice but so so many complaints ill give it a miss i think.

How could you guys miss it when I said it's opposite Bumrungrad hospital (Soi Nana Nua gate) and even posted their website link? They are in the building (1st and 2nd floor) right next to small soi connecting Nana with Asoke to the right and Japanese ambassador's residence to the left.

Anyway ask Khun Kavee the branch manager at Siam Paragon outlet (Dream Theater) at email below. I just bought 20,000 Baht worth of audio equipment from him and he spoke fairly good English. Dream Theater is Mahajak's own showroom and retail outlet on the 2nd floor of Siam Paragon (also sells JBL, Chord, etc). BOSE showroom is also on the same floor close to Dream Theater.

Found it today thanks. Closed today but Paragon was opened. I called them yesterday the Denon is 24,000 baht at the Soi 3 shop and WAIT for it the same product at Paragon is 49,000 Baht at their Dream Theatre shop.....Only in Thailand.

good news, glad to hear you found what you were looking for, paragon, well say no more.

my problem was i entered soi 3 from sukumvit, and took opposite the hospital to mean literally just that, so when i got to the little soi i turned round and walked back again, stupid me, if only i had crossed the road.

anyway excellent find and information posted by nordlys, one to bear in mind for future reference.
