Canon Camera Repair Information Requested

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a Canon Ixus II which has failed. It's uneconomic to get it fixed in the UK but as I'm coming to Pattaya in 2 weeks I was wondering if any members can recommend a competent, cost effective repair centre in Pattaya (or, if not, maybe in Bangkok)

Thanks in advance

VBF

PS - Mods - I shall post this in the Pattaya forum as well - if that's unacceptable please delete whichever post you think is the least useful.

Canon has service centers in Chonburi but not one that services digital camera (according to their website).

Here's Canon service center map in Bangkok. It's in Bangkok City Tower on southeast corner of Sathorn and Narathiwat Rd. (look for ABN AMRO bank sign). Canon service center is on 10th floor.

What is the nature of the problem? If it is censor/LCD issue they might fix it free of charge even if the warranty has expired. Canon has some 10 point and shoot digital cameras they have issued recall and yours might be one of them. But expect it will weeks before they can get it fixed if they don't have spare parts. If they can't secure spare parts in more than a month they sometimes replace it with a brand new camera (newer model).

The Canon centre is in TukCom at Sri Racha
