I Have 24 Hours To Save My Friends Daughter ......

Featured Replies

ok this is a simple problem for you guys out there...hopefully

My friends daughter has messed up the family pc a little.

for some reason everything on the desk top is on it's side

Her Ma and Pa would be a little peeved by this.....how can

i put this right for her?????

Thanks

Paul

It sounds a bit strange, like everything is on it's side.

Can you make a screenshot? If the icons really turned 90 degrees it sounds lika some funny virus

The computer has an advanced VGA card like Nvidia or ATI, which allows the screen to rotate 90 degree, with just a few simple clicks. For Nvidia you can find the option in the little green settings icon next to the clock on the bottom option bar at the right side.

Maybe somebody else can point the way for the ATI card drivers, as I not have any ATI VGA at my current location...

Lets face it... "she's" in the doghouse!! :o:D

Sometimes the mouse has a fuction at the side for rotating screen

you need to go into the mouse settings to disable this funtion via the control panel

hope this works out for you

Have you tried dragging it back where it should be with the mouse my three year old has done the same before, that is what I did. hope it works

Yeah I had exactly the same a while ago, really weird, there is an answer to it somewhere in the computer section, the answer they gave me, just a shame I cant remember what it was :o

Are you Jack Bauer?

Just have 24 hours to fix, ha ha ha

right click the mouse on a clear bit of the desktop, choose properties, the settings tag, advanced and probably adaptor properties tag - but the rest is dependent on the card.
