Let's reverse the equation. Can a company employ a foreigner who does not hold a WP issued to that employee to work for that PARTICULAR company?

I know many language companies that hire teachers that work at other schools and have a WP for that other school, but NOT for the second school. Is this legal? Do the Thai authorities bust these companies too?  Why is the burden soley on the employee and not on the employer?

Seems that the langauge schools are making out not having to get work permits for their many employees.

A work permit is issued for work at ONE specific location for ONE specific employer.

Work for another employer in a diffrent location is illegal.

Stiff penalties for both the employer (a fine) and the Farang, who is sent to Immigration Detention Center for deportation.

Schools are also obliged to follow the law, but Labor Department and Immigration don't chase them in first hand.
