When I lived outside of Aran I used the soloman model 1 scm:250 available from telewiz . You can either get a prepaid internet sim card from ais or use your mobil simcard. I think for the money it is well worth it, as it kept me on the net with no down time. I now use it for my laptop while traveling and still no problems

The fastest way of getting it would be to connect trough GPRS with your mobile phone. That will get you online now. I used AIS 1-2 call, and all you have to do is call them on 1175 and buy a plan. 300 baht gets you 100hours internet use. If you have a top up card, make sure you have the phone topped up.

If you have a sony ericcson phone, you can get the phone set up for your SMS card provider via the Sony ericsson website. If not, just go to the nearest SMS card vendor for help.

You also need the software for your phone to connect (the cd that came with your phone) or download it from Nokia, Sony Ericsson whatever...

You can connect your phone to the PC with USB or bluetooth.

The other option is ToT IPSTAR sat. They deliver it within 15 days. 2200 baht a month for 512/215kbs connection + install fee.

Works OK for me.
