Regards Paul. Yes it is possible if your Non O Visa is not based on retirement. You will need a work permit.
January 8, 200818 yr I have the same visa and have been advised by numerous people that you can, although have not tried (as lite beer said, as long as its not extended for retirement).
January 8, 200818 yr Author Thankyou Lite Beer, the visa is based on marriage. Is the application process the same as for non-imm "B" visa?
January 8, 200818 yr Thankyou Lite Beer, the visa is based on marriage. Is the application process the same as for non-imm "B" visa? Sorry, not my subject. As far as I know your employer should sort this out for you. Stick around for someone to post a proper reply.
January 8, 200818 yr Author Ok, i just spoke with the lawyer again and he is sure that a non imm "O" visa stamped "EMPLOYMENT PROHIBITED" cant be used to apply for a work permit. He says i should take the company letter of recomendation to the British Embassy where they will issue a new visa, what do you guys think? Going by what i have read on Thaivisa this doesn't sound right. Regards Paul.

January 8, 200818 yr The officer in charge of my annual visa extension has in fact recommended to change from non "B" to non "O" as a wife is on hand already. A non"O" (marriage visa) does not prohibit the issuance of a work permit and the annual extension based on marriage does require less paperwork as per my information gathered.
