Rice field

I'm tempted to apply a semiotic analysis to the elephant and temple....it really shows that just clicking never was, never will be enough.

The second edition is much more interesting.

However the Rice field is in my opinion a much more interesting piece altogether - very conventional composition but use of v. sharp color and the foreground leaf and good cloud formation turn a very mundane subject into a very visually appealing object - like the "ban-the=bomb" configuration of horizon path and hill gradient and the resulting off-set focus - could come back to this photo time and again.

The sense of depth in this picture is quite impressive, as is the verdant green of the rice. I love the color of ricefields.

On the negative side I would have to say that the shot is off balance. too heavy on the right.

Ideally the banana leaf would be on the left in some sort of angle towards the center point which is implied by the mountain and the dike.

However, I do love to look at this shot, my wife says it's beautiful.
