The New "subscription business model": Have you completely succumbed to it yet?
I have a few subscriptions, but I try to keep it to a minimum and, if possible, I subscribe through the Apple App Store. When you subscribe that way, Apple makes it very easy to cancel. You can do it right in the "settings" app. I pay for some music subscriptions: -Apple One which includes Apple Musi and some cloud space. -Tidal -Qobuz -Roon I also subscribe to a couple of health apps. -Welltory -Athlytic Anyway, I feel the subscriptions are worth it to me. I have had my fair share of problems, though, One time, I was finding it almost impossible to fully cancel Hulu. I supposedly canceled through their website, but they kept charging my card every month. I finally gave up and cancelled the credit card that they were charging every month. Success! No more Hulu. I just changed to another Capital One card with a different account number. And I once had a problem with a Microsoft subscription. One time, I got a free Office subscription with something I bought at Best Buy. I tried to get it installed and working, but I never succeeded, so I forgot about it. Until one year later when they tried to charge me $119.00 for another year of something I never used. I finally managed to get refunded on that, after much aggravation. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
The previous year's income being exempted when transferred in the current year is exactly what they changed already! The December 31, 2023 thing for savings exemption is the last time that works as it has been changed. -

Is it possible to have a UK Bank account while being tax resident in Thailand?
I maintain 3 UK bank accounts with monthly transactions on all of them. I have 3 pensions paid into my UK bank accounts, pay income tax and maintain a UK address. So far not had any issues (apart from new cards going only to the UK address). I have my foreign SIM registered with them all. WISE not an option, have had problems with them. Not expecting any change in the near future. -

Who lives on 20k a month ?
Officially, I believe that the 90 day tourist visas can only be extended for 1 month before having to leave the country but I have been told that they can unofficially be extended for 3 months. My brother, who has lived in Vietnam for the better part of 15 years told me that the agents can get things handled so that one doesn’t have to leave the country. This was in Phu Quoc so things may be different there. Probably best to visit different agencies in whatever city you are in to see what the options are. I cannot say for certain but I suspect that the rules are flexible much like the people who pay an agent to handle their “retirement” visas in Thailand when they don’t meet the financial requirements. The real estate agent who found an apartment for me said she could handle things and get a 90 day extension but I’m unaware of whatever the process is on her end. I didn’t ask how much it would cost.
