Can anyone suggest useful documents my Thai husband should bring for living and working in the UK?

We're getting our marriage certificate translated and I'm wondering what else he may need. Driving licence, ID card etc???

Thanks

a police check from bangkok police hq is useful in case he gets work at a school/college etc in future, my husband didn't & took months & a lot of running around by his brother to get. Also id card, copy of birth certs & tabien baan in case he needs to deal with the Thai embassy, driving license but will only be valid for one year once he arrives in the UK, after that he will need to get a UK driving license.

Also not offical docs but my husband found bringing his own translations books (UK- thai dictionary & learning tools) as they are impossible to find in UK useful too, even being near fluent he has used & referred to these on numerous occasions in the last 4 years as was a thai keyboard cause your hubby will find it hard to email in thai without one.

Boo,

Is that the Thai driving licence they can use or do they have to get an International one?

Cheers, chaps. If Mrs. Scouse passes her test, it's round to chez BoJangles for opening time at the Dog and Partridge on Saturday. :D

Sorry, Jacqueline, we appear to have hijacked your thread. Please feel free to continue. :o

Scouse.
