How can I uninstall Windows media Player 11?

For some reason I can’t get on with this version, it works Ok but it’s got some extra whistles and bells that I don’t need and it’s only confusing me. I’m easily confused. :o

Tried to uninstall and all it would do was roll back to a previous version. Unfortunately as this is fairly recent clean install there is no previous version and when I try to install WMP 10 it tells me this is not compatible or something similar.

How can I get back to WMP 10?

Thanks.

Daffy.

I'm not a PC expert like some others but if you did it recently and you haven't installed anything else since and if MSFT won't do it then can you just go to a system restore point and send your PC back in time ?

Sorry “Reimar” should have said my OS is XP Pro with Sp3

“Torrenova“ can’t use the restore option as I installed WMP 11 with my “Clean” new install so all restore points have the 11 version.
