Is Cat Overloaded At The Moment

Featured Replies

My roller coaster ToT account is currently at the bottom of it's usual up/down curve and it is unbearable. So I did a tracert and the main problem seems to be at the CAT end, still within Thailand. The ToT 'technician' (I use this in the loosest sense of the word) said ''No problem with ToT, CAT big problem'' and refused to chase the problem with CAT. So is it just me (Don Muang area) or is everyone struggling at the moment?

In Pattaya on CAT, bloody awful the last few weeks. Getting downloads at around 12 kps. Had minor blips before, but this is getting silly now.

Same here on True SME (office) and True ADSL (home), both are awful.

Aren't CAT the only people with international hubs though? Therefore when they are down, we're all down.

Daily postings from people who are so fed up with the poor quality

of the internet service , we have to remember here in Thailand

what you pay for and have been promised means absolutely nothing

Customer service is as bad as it could get , guarantees and assurances are

Just words to fob you off, pay your money and then they couldn't care less

Apathy rules in this country of 70,000,000 sheep!

Okay,... now that we all know the basic problem about Thailand and its Internet Network lacking problem.... it goes like this:

Weekends and holidays is all fine because the peeps are going out of the capital of Thailand... from Monday on people come back to work, the children go to school and after school ... they surf the Internet. How many people are "back in Bangkok" from Monday to Friday??? How many school chidren and University students are actually in Bangkok and its surroundings.... THAT'S A LOT!!!!! And how much bandwidth is overloaded by that time from millions of people who wanna surf the F$""in' Internet??? Do you get my point????

I called and they have problems with the oversea cables. They will sms me when they fixed it.

I'm going to do the same thing and get a Thai colleague to give CAT a call.

MaxLee what on earth are you going on about. With that sort of summation you could get a technical job at ToT!

For such an underdeveloped country it is no wonder that nothing can be done about the Internet problems in Thailand
