Just found out about BaanDinso Hostel near the Democracy Monument. Looks very nice, with breakfast included and free high speed internet (appears to be in-room), mini bar and ac for 1500-1700 baht for a room with own bath and king size bed, or 1200 for two single beds and shared bath. Rooms look nice on the site but I couldn't say if its a good location or nice rooms.
