District Licensing Officers visit bars around Pattaya. 7 bars facing closure orders.

Khun Pongsit, the Deputy Chief of Banglamung District conducted an inspection of entertainment venues around Pattaya on Friday Night following information given to him that some bars were operating on expired licenses. A selection of Beer Bars and Go-Go Bars were checked on Walking Street, Soi Pattayaland 1 and 2 and in North Pattaya. Seven bars were found to be operating on expired licenses and licenses which did not permit use of the building as an entertainment venue. A report of the Deputy Chief’s findings will be sent to the Banglamung District Licensing Unit and temporary and permanent closure orders of at least 30 days are expected to be imposed on the venues concerned.
