I am hoping to find someone with basic woodworking tools who will make a couple of items for some wonderful Chiang Rai anuban children.....a "pretend" stove, frig, eating table.....On a teacher's salary, I am limited but can provide materials and plans. We can provide painting and detailing. We would love to set up a "grocery store" and need a "pretend" checkout counter. Some wooden toys...cars, boats, trucks...Have you made anything like this for your Grandones? Your efforts would be greatly rewarded with smiling faces and happy children....

Love this kind of thing - someone asks for help, but one doesn't know if they can even recieve it...

can you speak Thai? do you have a car?

Out by Ban Mai Rung Ruang, or one village past that towards Theung, Khun Ought, who used to be a janitor at the local elementary school and loves kids, and who also happens to be a cousin to famous Ajaan Tawan Datchanee, is a very good wood carver willing to work cheap.
