Kowit was always viewed as close to Thaksin even when he was like PPP's Ruengroj a member of the CNS. Interstingly he claimed after his retirement from the police that he wanted to spend time with his family. Obviously his family is no longer so important when called upon by master. Thaksin is clearly making sure he has control of the ministries that matter to his future. Laws willing that is.
