German badly injured in domestic incident involving his wife and step-daughter.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Pacharawit from Banglamung Police Station was called to house number 180/51 in Soi Tamsamakee Temple in South Pattaya in the early hours of Monday Morning to investigate a domestic dispute which had resulted in injury. At the scene, officers spoke with the apparent victim, Mr. Heinz Berghoff aged 70 from Germany who had sustained serious cuts to his head and face which he claimed were received during a fight with his 40 year old Wife and 29 Year old step-Daughter. The victim was clearly distraught and was asked why the attack took place. He explained that his step-daughter invited her Mother to spend a night out with her. Mr. Berghoff demanded that his Wife, Khun Mantar, should not go. A fight broke out between the couple which soon involved the step-daughter. A metal pipe was thought to have been used during the attack which allegedly begun with an assault on Khun Mantra by Mr. Berghoff. All parties were taken to the Police Station for questioning.

I think the wife has understated her age - or was only 11 when she gave birth to daughter.

She could have been a step-daughter to the mother from a previous marriage/relationship.

She could have been a step-daughter to the mother from a previous marriage/relationship.

So she's not the natural daughter of either the man or the woman, in that case.

Why tolerate having her around?

My slant on this thingy is that the 70-year old German wasn't giving the wife enough ( money!) and so the two of them wanted to go out on the bash.

But I could be completely wrong, of course.

I think there is a big misconception about marrying a Thai woman, they are just like any other woman aroung the world, You do have to share your wealth with them, and if you go out on the piss so can she. :D

Unfortunately if the wife were more wealthy than her husband it does not mean she has to share with her husband, or if she has a night out so can hubby... :o T.I.T.

Mr. Berghoff demanded that his Wife, Khun Mantar, should not go

He didn't deserve a bash on the head with a lead pipe but I beleive here is the problem.... his wife, being a grown woman, most likely took offense about being treated like a dog or servant :o
