I have just bought a new computer and it works fine until it tries to play some games (not all) or a flight simulator.

My son is really pi$$ed off and and cannot understand why Daddy cannot fix it.

The problem is that the graphics are all fuzzy and makes it almost impossible use

Can anyone suggest what is wrong. The same graphics card worked OK on my old 700Mhz Celeron .

My configuration is :

AMD Athlon 2600+

Asus A7V8X

Nvidia GeForce4 MX440 AGP8X using driver 6.1.77

Samtron 78DF monitor

uninstall the driver 6177 it's not a whql certified ...

reboot

install the 6176 one (whql certified) and setup as you desire you quality to be

or may be also update your directX, now version 9.0c.

check also that the monitor is the correct one in the display property/advanced/monitor.

if not check in control panel/system/hardware/monitor ...

might have to set the correct the driver.

I have downloaded 6.1.76 and installed it and the monitor is listed Ok in the system hardware.

I already have directX v9

The problem seems to vary in intensity, any more advice you can think of ??

did you try to low down the resolution?

like from 85 to 75 hertz ...

I hope that it´s not a question of monitor ...

did you check the monitor plug?

Have you checked the settings in the game(s) itself?

correct resolutions and that you have your graphics card set as the device. some progams seem to default to the processor rather than the graphics adapter.

what games are you having problems with?

The plug appears OK. How can I check each pin ?

Lower resolution makes no difference.

Have problems with X-Plane 750 and Ragnarok.

With Xplane the scenery is OK just the cockpit fuzzy

Cannot find game settings, I thought it did an auto detect.
