i have used old cakewalk sonar and soundforge programs

till now but changed xp to opensuse 10.3 ...

so the question is, does anyone have idea

where to get almost similar audiorecording programs ?

I don't create music, but you always hear about "Audacity" being THE fl/oss program for media creation. You may want to check out this link.

We use Ardour for audio stuff, for simple audio recording we use Audacity. Ardour is basically a whole digital audio studio with all the options. very nice.....
