First of all have you got your birth certificate? Whatever way the authorities play it you are going to be in some kind of trouble by the looks of it.

How did you go to school in thailand? Don't you have to show house registration papers and be a thai national to attend public school?

:D Twenty years ago you may not have qualified as Thai....because at that time even if your mother was Thai, your father (I believe) wasn't Thai. The law has been changed since that time and you probably CAN QUALIFY now as Thai as long as you can prove that your mother was Thai. (One of the aprents has to be Thai for you to be considered Thai, I believe)

My Thai girlfriend had 3 children by her first marriage. The father was not Thai. After her divorce she had many problems getting Thai I.D. cards for them, because at that time their FATHER had to be Thai. But that is all changed now for at least 10 or 15 years. The children are recognized as Thai and have Thai I.D, cards. They have even been issued Thai passports.

However, I suspect your going to hav a LOT of problems explaining why you didn't come forward before this to try to get an I.D. card.

And you are going to have to explain how you got into Thailand in the first place.

Also if you've been working in Thailand, I hope you can show you paid taxes.

Good luck.

Thought your name was familiar.

You post various enquiries in the T.Visa section and consequently get good advice on your problems ect. ???

Now you post this and i wonder why you seemingly contradict various statements / post enquiries you make and in doing so come across as other than genuine.

Especially as you now say you are 20 years on overstay ect. ect.

you will need to get a Thai birth certificate issued by the Thai embassy in the country you were born. Once you have this, you are Thai and can apply for a Thai passport and re-enter the country on that.

I hope that this poster has an explanation for his previous posts about visa trips within the last year.

But until he sends me a PM explaining them this thread is closed.
