Flatmate Services

does anyone know if there is some sort of website for finding flatmates here in phuket?

never heard of one amyb. there is plenty of cheap accommodation around though, depending on where you want to live. i used to live in kathu and there were lots of 'condos' around there.

There was a sign at Don's cafe on their bulletin board, might still be up. Put an ad in the Gazette. I have done that in the past. Free for online ads.

or you can try the YMCA or Back Packers hostle

But as Donna mentioned, accomodation is so cheap, there isnt really a demand here... unlike London for example

thanks for the help you guys.

i know accomodation is cheap. i lived here for the last year, but am growing tired of living in a 4000 baht/month studio and would like to find someone to share a big house with. i will check don's and think about posting an advert in the gazette. cheers.

Hi AmyB

just please be very careful, as from your user name, i take you are female, and there are some very nasty people who take advantage of flatshares.... also travelers who seem real to begin with, but can also end up not nice people.... I hope you catch my drift

thanks donna and boater.

i don't think i will end up putting an ad in the gazette...i've had bad flatmates before and been screwed out rent, etc. i may just check out different studios and see what i find. thanks guys. :o
