Air-con Installation Costs

hello,

what is the market rate for aircon installation costs?

I was quoted about 5000B per unit.

Felt this is expensive.

The last one I had installed was for 2000 Baht and that was all inclusive. Holes drilled, tubing, freon, pipes and welding, drain tube, wiring, breaker etc. Having another one put in now for the same service charge as above (perhaps slightly less since it was included in the price of purchase of the AC.)

5000B for a regular installation sounds a tad excessive. Maybe your particular installation was non-standard? Longer lines, more elec. cable, high wall?

Std. price for installation ranges from 1,000B to 2,000B per regular domestic unit. This usually includes power cable, breaker and misc. items like screws, putty etc.
