One Of My Heroes Is Gone.

Featured Replies

Phew, for a min I thought our Humph!

Yes, we lost a good one there. 'Sorry I haven't a clue' is the most brill show. No one else will be able to carry it on. I hope they don't try to put someone else in the role.

Mornington Crescent!

Humphrey Littleton......

I remember his shows when I was in UK doing my Big OE, back in the recent 50's.

He was massive.

R.I.P.

Humphrey.

I've tried to find an easier link to this before, but I don't think it can be done......

Go Here.

And select Comedy and Quizzes, then hit the GO button, then you need to look for the 'I'm sorry I haven't a Clue Tribute'

The Chas and Dave section is special.

I had to stick a pin in my arm to make sure it wasn't me.

In days gone by I would go to 100 Oxford Street and other insalubrious places to hear HL / Chris Barber et al., then tastes changed and I was in the Dankworth circuit for a time. Then down to the Roaring Twenties in Carnaby Street for the Ray Charles tours and many other great musicians.

But Humph was one of the first and best. St James Infirmary is the one I remember still.

No!!!!.......He was never in that group. However, with his skill he could have been.
