The Mark Of The Beast.

Featured Replies

They first implanted them in pets and now they are implanting them in people.

They are small bar code microprocessors that are being implanted in the inside of the upper arm of human beings to give doctors, hospitals and whoever else wants to know, all your medical history. They will also be used as tracking devices and it is hoped that they can be used at scanners in stores to buy goods and services.

If it happens as they wish, it could be the end of the human as a free spirit. It will be the end of Mother Nature as we have known her. George Bush himself has stated that he hopes within the next ten years every American will barcoded and microchipped. We are in the baby steps of world control and as soon as you have the Mark of the Beast, you will have given them what they have always wanted,

your soul. Rest easy and good night.

I'm not scared by this at all. Not because I want it to happen, but because I know, like every other system ever developed, it will be flawed in some way.

If it turns out to be such an invasion of privacy and basic human rights yet still enforced, you can put a hefty-sized bet on the information lurking around the internet on its flaws and how to bypass it.

If such attempts to do this become punsihable with heavy penalties, there will be a revolt. Like the tagging itself, it's just a matter of time...

Well won't your wives be happy as they will be able to tell where you really are!!

You can all joke and poo poo it, but it's happening now and more serious than many realise. I don't have children, but I wouldn't be surprised if hospitals start puting them in newborns without parental consent. It's just one more step, and a big one, towards world control of the human race.

More than a bit Orwellian. Shades of "1984", eh?

Big Brother is watching and will take care of you. :o

Gps installed? Well pretty much on every new mobile, so believe it or not now the capability to track you is already in hand.

....but not in heart and soul.

In the UK they can't even get ID Cards passed!

Not that it would be too much worry. Never seen a government computer system that so much as gives a good impresion that its efficient and actually usefull, most are hinderance to the workers, too expensive to actually deliver what was originally wanted and crash more often than not! Nothing to do with taking the lowest bid for the contract, dividing it by a large number, and giving it to a tiny unlisted company from [insert 3rd world country of choice here] with the technical competence of a high school dropout majoring in 'Surfing' that just skimmed a badly photocopied rip off of the manual - er, 'cos that's who they hire and how they're trained. Ooooh, I'm worried. :o

Used to use these chips for all my animals, especially the parrots I used to breed; until the breeding station had a burgulary and the thieves stole only the young, un-chipped birds, wringing the necks of the breeding pairs we had chipped with the intention to "protect them".

A chip helped a much loved Burmese cat come home though.

I don't think they would be much use in Thailand. I've never seen a reader here.

If you live in France, and soon elsewhere in Europe and in the U.S., and if you need a dental prosthesis, chances are good that RFID tags are involved in the manufacturing process, according to this article from the RFID Journal. The tag is embedded by the dental lab in the cast which will be used to make the prosthesis. Then it is used to record the whole history of the crown, a process requested by a European sanitary regulation. Before delivering the bridge to your dentist, all the data is copied to a smart card that will be given to you. The company is also studying the idea to put directly the tag inside the prosthesis. Maybe one day, when your dentist installs your new bridge, you'll also be the owner of a deactivated RFID tag inside it. Read more...

would you like to borrow my pliers?

:D

I'd LOVE to see that get passed in sunny England. People get violent if they're kept too long in waiting rooms, just try and stick a chip into someone. :o

Don't spend time in a hospital unless absolutely necessary, especially a US hospital. It is happening. You can label me a paranoid conspiracy freak all you want. Bush is power at full force and they want to control as many human beings as they possibly can. Sleep well.

For a country that raves on continuously how free they are, they should actually check a little behind the scenes. They are manipulated into believing everything they are told. Im still waiting for Bush to use the "alqueda approach" on this as well. :o

At least we don't believe in the "Bogie Man" and the Tooth Fairy as you seem to.

Nobody's manipulating anyone, Gent - it's all in Your mind! :D

Is it still illegal to criticise the US government's handling of the Iraq conflict?

Is it still illegal to criticise the US government's handling of the Iraq conflict?

Whenever was it illegal?

The problem is the myth that America was beloved by the world until the Iraq war or George Bush is plain hogwash. Anti-Americanism — in France, in Greece, throughout the third world — has been raging for a long time and actually increased with the defeat of Communism and on Bill Clinton's watch. That's not to say it was Clinton's fault in any significant way. It was merely a fact of life. Iraq is an excuse for America-bashing among nations that clearly couldn't be counted on no matter who was in the Oval Office. :o

I was led to believe that some sort of Patriot Act had stopped US people from criticising US behaviour.

I'd prefer a summary :o Still, you're saying it ain't the case?

Those with brains - out.

Lobotomised brown nosed followers - in.

Much like in the days of the brownshirts, the ability to ask questions is coming to be seen as a potentially capital offense.

thanks for the addresses Boon Mee :o

Ta, muchly. Well that puts that little misquote back where it belongs.

Being a soapy I found this little section Subtitle B: Enhanced Immigration Provisions rather interesting. It allows deportation of people who've been involved with terrorist organisations or, at least, that's how I read it. Wonder if there are still any Irish terrorists - sorry, 'freedom fighters' :D - left skulking in the US? :D

Excellent point, also, how about the activities of the exile Cubans in Miami? Plenty of questionable deeds commited by them against Habana. Oh, I forgot, since they are in the White House already they can drop bombs on anyone and are automatically awarded freedom champion status.

Huh? :o

Care to elaborate one that one, Meadish?

Hate to think you've stooped to trolling here... :D

Well, no Troll here but NEWS COVERAGE HAS GOTTEN ALMOST THIS BAD:

Washington, DC - Pointing to the devastating weekend Indian Ocean tsunami that left over 24,000 dead, a international blue ribbon committee of climatologists and ecoscientists today issued a stark warning that man-made pollutants have increasingly "make water spirits angry."

The blunt conclusion prefaced a 2300 page meta-analysis of hundreds of scientific studies and computer models detailing links between human industrial activity and wrathful eco-deities. Entitled "Fire Bad: Fire Very Bad," the report warns that the planet faces additional catastrophies unless drastic regulatory action is taken to appease Earthen-furies. :o
