Hi

I have been a member with SCB for 3 years now, and as much as possible i try to withdraw my cash from there own ATMS, thus to avoid the charge

But just recently i have noticed every time i withdraw they are now charging 20THB!!! without any proir notice to there clients!

The bank is getting stupid now with all there charges.. as for example i pay my wage packet into the bank and they charge me 81 THB commission, and then when i wont to take it out they charge me 20 THB!!! :o

Are all the banks like this now?

Only if you withdraw outside of the province where your account is located

It's been that way since I started my account. I spend some time in Jomtien and actually live in Loei. Using my card in Loei always cost 20 baht. I now have an account in Jomtien and another in Loei.

Thanks for the information... yes i am using the atm card in another province. But i was only aware of the carge at the bank...

But i would of thought it was irrelevent where in the country you take your money out, as it is ONE bank?

All banks have the same out of area charges. Also you can make three or four ATM POOL withdrawals per month without any extra charge if in same area so you don't always have to use your bank ATM to get your money and avoid charge.
