Well, you may just have a point there. However, the anti-short people discrimination by American people is far more pervasive than anti-gay people discrimination. When was the last time we had an under 5'7" president? Archy just wasn't tall enough for the American people. If Obama was 5' 6" or so, you think he'd be doing well? No, just kidding. I think you're right on. Archy wooped Cook's ass in the finals but the vote went for the straighter (and taller) man!

For me Cook's version of Billie Jean was the standout of the whole thing and put him way above all the others. It was a world class performance.

I judge these singers by asking myself if I could listen to a whole album sung by them. With the kid I think I would be asleep by about the third number. Cook has the ability to produce something special.

I wonder when Cowl so outrageously criticized Cook in the final , he wasn't in a subtle way, garnering votes for the eventual winner ? The wink gave it away.

Glad to see that Cook won and intersting to note that Simon Cowell actually apologised to him saying he thought he had been disrespectful on the last night of the competition.

Well done David Cook. Archuleta will do well out of this anyway, he has a profitable career ahead of him no doubt.

of course cook should win, always thought so. total package. looks, voice and all. great audience connect. so important.

but archuleta (cant spell his name right? archy eh? hehe).... is a winner too. some kind of a prodigy. maybe the likes of josh groban in the making? he will do good... he has his own niche. and if cook wasnt there, archy is it...

as for simon, i think that is a strategy. he puts down someone to win him sympathy votes... the same way he sometimes gives a thumbs up to some bootable competitors if only to placate the supporters and make them complacent about voting. just a vibe....
